Armenian Studies

The Association supports several scientific activities in the field of Armenian studies. The Association has co-sponsored and promoted symposia, workshops and conferences since 1987 (for a detailed list see under About us). It has a specific section, called “Padus Armenistica”, whose effective and student members are scholars and individuals interested in Armenian studies or in cognate fields of research, e.g. Byzantine, Middle-Eastern and Caucasian studies.

The section “Padus Armenistica” organizes an ANNUAL WORKSHOP in Milan (Seminario Armenistico) which has been established in order to give an opportunity to young researchers living and working in Italy to present their projects and researches. It encourages researches that are theoretically, methodologically and epistemologically innovative through contributions across disciplines in the social sciences, humanities and other fields.

The Section publishes an annual peer-reviewed JOURNAL, “Rassegna degli Armenisti Italiani (RAI)”, which collects the contributions presented at the annual workshop held in the previous year in Milan (the forthcoming issue will be published in November 2017).
